These tasty cookies will provide a satisfying treat for your party guests or trick-or-treaters.
What You Need:
- 1/2 C butter, softened to room temperature
- 3/4 C brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 t vanilla extract
- 1 C of flour
- 1 C quick cooking oats
- 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 (12.6 oz.) bag of Halloween M&Ms
- 1/2 C chopped pecans
- 1/4 C sweet coconut, flaked
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Oil a 12 inch pizza pan.
3. Place the softened butter in a small mixing bowl.
4. Add the brown sugar and beat on low speed until the mixture turns creamy.
5. Bread the egg in the bowl and add the vanilla.
6. Beat on medium speed until the ingredients are well combined.
7. Stir in the oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt until all are completely blended.
8. Stir in 1 C of the M&M candies.
9. Press the batter onto the prepared pizza pan.
10. Sprinkle the coconut and pecans on top of the batter.
11. Press the remaining M&Ms into the batter.
12. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
13. Allow to cool on a wire rack, then cut into triangles.
This cookie pizza is fast and easy to make, and will be popular with all cookie lovers. If you can’t find Halloween M&Ms locally, try looking for a stockist at their website or just use regular M&Ms and select the brown and orange colors for this cookie. You could put the remaining M&Ms in a bowl for your guests to nibble on during the party.
Makes 12 cookie triangles.
