These sweet Halloween bananas are super-simple to make, and are sure to go down well with kids and adults alike!
What You Need:
- 4 bananas, peeled and cut into bite size chunks
- 2 t Halloween sprinkles
- 2/3 C semisweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 C milk chocolate frosting
Instructions:
1. Cover a serving plate with wax paper.
2. Place the banana chunks onto the paper, with the cut side facing down.
3. Insert a toothpick into each banana chunk.
4. Freeze the banana chunks for 20 minutes, or until hard.
5. Put the Halloween sprinkles into a small cup and set aside.
6. Put the chocolate chips into a microwaveable bowl.
7. Microwave the chips on high for 60 seconds.
8. Remove the melted chips and stir until they’re smooth.
9. Place the frosting into the bowl with the melted chocolate chips.
10. Stir the mixture until it is thoroughly blended.
11. Place the mixture into the microwave and cook on high for 15 seconds.
12. Remove and stir until the mixture takes on the consistency of a dip.
13. Take the bananas out of the freezer.
14. Dip each banana into the melted chocolate mixture until it is completely covered.
15. Sprinkle each dipped banana with the Halloween sprinkles.
16. Place the banana chunks back onto the wax paper.
17. Freeze all the dipped banana chunks for one hour or until the chocolate has completely hardened.
The chocolate frosting mixture might sometimes start to harden before all the bananas have been coated. If this happens, put it back into the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds or until soft. Make sure you give the mixture a good stir before resuming the dipping process.
